Lunchtime Lecture: Rosalind Koons

Listening to Ross Koons lecture during lunch opened me to many insightful thoughts on her process as well as her ideas she stands by. Drawing from an autoimmune disorder, she utilizes themes involving illness and vulnerability to develop her pieces into reality. The encouragement of that art does not have to be expensive really resonated with me, as it made me understand that the creator themselves are what provide value to a piece. Even through unconventional materials, she still produces wonderful products while encouraging the process of trial and error and developing a personal style.
